All of the items I buy are from a bygone era therefore please keep that in mind if you have young children as many were developed when safety was not at a premium compared to today!

I do not use filler and if I think old rust, cracks in metal or patina is enhancing a piece I take back until clean then use copious amounts of clear coat to protect the metal and enhance the look of perfect metal mixed with old patina.

Many of the metals have uneven or surfaces dotted with metals of different shapes making perfect masking sometimes impossible so somewhere there might be paint overspill. Other times its perfect but I like the overspill when removing the masking tape so I leave it there!

I use wiring packs for the basic lamps so please DO NOT use bulbs over 60 watts and only LEDs as these don't get hot and, therefore, melt your abstracts!!! For complex electrics I use a professional electrician.

Also would be delighted if you have an old item yourself that you would like to individualize to your current taste. Contact me and we can discuss overall ideas and I can send regular visuals so you see your piece being made. Obviously there is no charge for the item you provide so pricing would be based on the below listed items PLUS the complexity of the piece.

PRICING is dependant on the source of the object and the hours involved. Once I have that I estimate cost of electrics, paints, primer, clearcoat, disposables and the bulb to come up with a definitive price.
